From 29 April 2016, the owners of of a property with a swimming pool will be required to include a compliance certificate in the contract before they lease or sell their property. The original implementation date was 29 April 2014 but it has been delayed for two years.

The NSW Government is currently providing a grant of $15,000 to first home buyers who buys a new residential property priced not more than $650,000. This First Home Owner Grant was to be reduced to $10,000 on 1 January, 2014. However, the NSW Government has announced the $15,000 grant for new home buyers will be extended until the end of 2015 in the upcoming state budget. NSW 주정부에서 신규주택구입자에게 지급하는 First Home Owner Grant의 금액이 당초에는 현행 $15,000에서 2014년 1월 1일부터는 $10,000로 축소할 계획이었으나, 현재의 금액을 2년 더 유지한뒤 2016년 1월1일부터 $10,000로 축소할 것이라는 주정부의 발표가 있었습니다.
Swimming pool owners in NSW are required to register their swimming pools on an online register (http://www.swimmingpoolregister.nsw.gov.au/) by 29 October 2013. Penalty of $220 may be imposed for failure of registration.
From 29 April 2014, owners of a property containing a pool must include a valid ‘certificate of compliance’ in a contract for sale of land, failure of which will enable the purchaser to rescind the contract within 14 days of exchange of contracts.
